Application:

Structure Feature:

Mainly composed of hard glass, resonant cavity and electrode 3 parts:

1. Hard glass; the parts are made from GG17 material, composed of discharge tube, water-cooled jacket, gas storage cover and muffler. Sealed CO2 laser tube normally adopt three layer casing structure. Inside is discharge tube, middle is the water-cooled jacket, outside layer is gas storage cover, muffler is used for communicating the discharge tube and gas storage cover;

2. Resonant cavity: this part is composed of full reflective mirror and output reflective mirror. Full reflective mirror use optical glass as the base, coating gold film on the surface, gold film mirror reflectivity reach 98% near 10.6um; the output mirror of the cavity commonly used germanium (Ge) as the base, coating multi layer dielectric film on the surface;

3.Electrode: CO2 laser tube generally is use cold cathode, cylindrical, cathode materials have great influence on the life of the laser tube, the basic requirements of cathode materials is: low sputtering rate, small the gas absorption rate, commonly adopt materials of nickel.

Method of use:

1.Firstly connect the electrode wires, (+, -) be not wrong;

2.Water cooling pipes connected, negative pole input water, positive pole output water, the interface without water leakage. Before using, the water storage containers must store enough water. When water running, make sure the water cooling pipe without bubble, (each time turn on laser machine, must check);

3.Suggest the user prepare automatic detection device in the water circulation system, in order to prevent the laser tube no work due to water shutoff or overheating. 

Maintenance:

1.Before turn on laser machine, check the water circulation is normal or not, check the water cooling tube have bubble or not;

2.Check the output reflective mirror of negative pole, if be covered by dust and grease, clean with fat free cotton which dipped diethyl, otherwise will affect the laser power and light spot, even affect the life of the laser tube.

Notes the use of CO2 glass laser tube:

1.First turn on the cooling water before turn on machine, ensure the water cooling pipe full of water, without bubble. Requirements: cooling water use soft water (distilled water or pure water), should always pay attention to the temperature of the cooling water, should be control in 25℃ to 30℃, especially in the summer, once water temperature is too high, should be timely replacement of water cooling or break down machine still temperature turn down; In cold regions the cooling water should not be frozen, especially after laser shutdown, not let cooling water storage in the laser tube, in order to avoid cooling water frozen lead to burst. (Note: Users use alternating current, the cooling water tank must be grounded);

2.Two holders of laser tube, in the length of laser tube 1/4 position, to ensure the flow of cooling water in 2L -4L/ minutes; otherwise will effect the laser power; The muffler port in the tank must be covered with water, otherwise every time turn on/off, the laser tube cooling water can not be full in;

3.Protect the laser output window, avoid the generated smoke sputtering on window surface during laser working (also during optical adjustment), prevent the output window surface contamination, it will effect laser power, if happen, use absorbent cotton or silk cloth dipped in alcohol to clean window surface softly;

4.Adjusting the laser point or rotating laser tube, to get the best output laser beam, then fixed the laser tube;

5.Be careful: avoid the accumulation of dust near high voltage electrode, keep dry and high voltage side far away from metal stuff as possible, to prevent the high voltage spark discharge;

6.In the use of the process, water cooled jacket can not be formed incrustant, avoid cooling water blocking, if happen, can clean with 20% dilute hydrochloric acid;

7.Laser tube products is fragile, when installed, to avoid local stress;

8. Reasonable use of laser tube, saving laser energy, laser tube current optimal point at 16mA.
